As you may know the Tachi “Long Sword” is the Bujinkan weapon of study this year. But where do you get a non-metal training Tachi sword that you can strike with without damage?

Then we saw Shihan’s Richard and Linda Van Donk in the dojo using them. Then we found out that many people at the Japan Bujinden hombu dojo, are using one of these swords in training, including Soke Hatsumi.

So then we knew we were on the right track, if Soke Hatsumi and Shihan Van Donk is using one.

This revolutionary bamboo bokken design made by Full Force is the closest you can get to sparring with a real katana! We these arrived we took these out of the packaging and immediately we just had to start sparring. This is the immediate feel of this great training tool. They will always be in our dojo.

They are beautifully designed with leather enhancements and the long 14" handle is perfect for either katana or Tachi practice. Designed for the sword training martial artist who requires full force practice, this patent pending design is a vast improvement over traditional bokken and kendo shinai.

They measure 46" overall, this item features a tension curved bamboo blade that allows training moves that cannot be done with a normal bokken. The unique flexible spring blade reduces the bruising effect on unprotected parts of the body by absorbing more of a full force blow than a standard bokken.
